Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of the CheckHumans website, dashboard, APIs, plugins, and related services operated by PBT Construction LLC d/b/a CheckHumans.

If you use the service on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

CheckHumans is a trust and intent scoring platform for signups, leads, logins, API traffic, and related anti-abuse workflows.

The service may include event ingestion APIs, scoring and decision endpoints, policy configuration, analytics, plugins, dashboards, and support tooling.

Features marked as beta, roadmap, or enterprise-only may change or be discontinued.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials, site keys, and secret keys secure.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for promptly notifying us about suspected compromise or misuse.

You may not share secret keys or use the service in a way that bypasses security controls, quotas, or product limits.

You are responsible for your own websites, applications, content, customer notices, and lawful basis for any data you send through the service.

You must not use CheckHumans in violation of law, to facilitate fraud, or to protect unlawful services, malware distribution, or abusive operations.

You remain responsible for how you act on scores, recommendations, classifications, and policy outcomes returned by the platform.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment providers.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel future renewals through the billing portal or by contacting support before the next renewal date.

Taxes, currency conversion, and payment-processor fees may apply depending on your location and payment method.

If you need additional event capacity, enterprise retention, or custom deployment terms, those must be agreed in a separate commercial arrangement. Public pricing pages do not create custom enterprise rights by themselves.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard billing portal or by contacting support@checkhumans.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Monthly plans: No refunds are issued for partial months. Your access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.

Annual plans: If you cancel within the first 14 days of a new annual subscription or annual renewal, you may request a prorated refund for the unused portion. After 14 days, no refunds are issued for annual plans.

Free tier: The free plan may be suspended or modified at any time without notice or compensation.

Refund requests should be submitted to support@checkhumans.com with your account email and reason for the request. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of Terms of Service violations, abuse, or fraudulent activity.

Free plans and trial access may be limited, suspended, or changed at any time.

Roadmap references, plugin scaffolds, and trust-center materials describe current direction and operational intent, not binding commitments unless included in a signed order form or service agreement.

You may not use CheckHumans to: (a) send, process, or store data that violates applicable laws or third-party rights; (b) generate fraudulent trust scores or manipulate scoring outcomes; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the scoring algorithms; (d) resell, sublicense, or offer the service to third parties as a standalone product without written authorization; (e) exceed documented rate limits, abuse API endpoints, or conduct denial-of-service attacks against the platform; (f) circumvent authentication, security controls, or access controls; (g) use the service to protect or enable illegal activities, phishing, malware distribution, or harassment.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this acceptable use policy without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of any prepaid fees.

If you become aware of any violation of this policy by another user, please report it to support@checkhumans.com.

The service, software, documentation, branding, and related content are owned by PBT Construction LLC or its licensors.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes.

You retain rights in your own content and configuration, but you grant us the rights needed to host, process, and transmit data to operate the service.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect detection accuracy, or error-free operation.

False positives, false negatives, delayed webhooks, plugin limitations, model drift, and third-party outages can occur.

No claim on this site should be read as a guarantee of regulatory compliance, conversion lift, fraud elimination, or suitability for a particular legal obligation unless we expressly agree to it in writing.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

Our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the claim or USD 1,000.

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, your decisions based on service outputs, or your violation of law or these Terms.

When CheckHumans processes personal data on your behalf as a processor or service provider, we do so solely to provide and improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Enterprise customers requiring a formal Data Processing Agreement (DPA), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or subprocessor disclosures should contact legal@checkhumans.com to request the applicable addendum.

We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encryption, access controls, and audit logging.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use creates security, legal, abuse, or payment risk.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination by contacting support@checkhumans.com.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, and governing law) will remain in effect after termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the contracting entity identified on this page, excluding conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts that have competent jurisdiction over that contracting entity, unless a separate written agreement between the parties states otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and may provide additional notice through the service or by email.
